HockiLogic is an app for field hockey umpires, umpire coaches and assessors. It gives you a pre-match pitch briefing tool to talk through the game with your colleague, a rules reference with an AI Rules Assistant, and My Notes for logging the matches you umpire, coach or assess.

HockiLogic is available for iPhone on the App Store and for Android on Google Play. You can also use it in a web browser at app.hockilogic.com.

No. You can tap Continue without account and use the pitch briefing tool and the rules reference and rule search.

A free account adds the AI Rules Assistant (2 questions a day) and a basic match log in My Notes.

Yes. Tap Take the tour at the bottom of the home screen to see the guide again, along with the tips on other screens.

After signing up, we send you an email. Tap the link in that email to confirm your address, then go back to the app and tap I've confirmed my email, continue.

If the email hasn't arrived, check your junk or spam folder. If the app says an account with that email already exists, sign in instead, or use Forgot password.

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password and enter your email. We'll send you a link to set a new password.

Yes, and you keep the same account, password and notes. In the latest version of the app, go to Profile and tap Change email under your email address. We'll send a link to your new address. Tap it to confirm the change. You may also get an email at your current address asking you to confirm.

If you don't see the option yet, update the app, or email support@hockilogic.com from your current address and we'll change it for you.

Go to Profile. You can be an umpire, an umpire coach, an assessor, or any mix of these. Each role has its own level and panel, as these can differ. These details are self-reported for now and every field is optional.

Yes, with a parent or guardian's consent. When you set up your account, we ask for your date of birth. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian needs to complete a short consent step before the account can be used, and we email them a copy.

A parent or guardian can withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@hockilogic.com.

Go to Profile and tap Delete account. This permanently deletes your HockiLogic account, your profile and all of your notes. It cannot be undone.

If your account is linked to association records, the app will ask you to email support@hockilogic.com and we'll delete it for you.

The rules content is based on the FIH Rules of Hockey, the foundation for all umpires. You can also choose a local variation (currently England Hockey) in your profile. This sets which rules the AI assistant uses when answering your questions.

HockiLogic is independent educational guidance. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by FIH. Always refer to the official FIH Rules.

With a free account, you can ask 2 AI questions a day. Unlimited AI questions will come with Pro. You can search the rules reference as much as you like, with or without an account.

This happens when there is high demand on our AI provider. It is usually short-lived, so please try again in a few minutes. The rest of the app keeps working.

AI answers are based on our curated rules content and umpiring guidance and are for educational guidance only. They don't replace the official rules, your association's guidelines or your own judgement. Please don't include personal or sensitive information in your questions.

With a free account, you can log each match with the date, venue, teams and score, and search your notes by team, competition or venue. Pro, coming soon, adds captains, cards, your own notes, voice dictation, and coaching and assessing notes.

Your notes are private to your account. They are only visible to you and anyone you choose to share them with.

No. Deleting a note cannot be undone, so the app asks you to confirm first.

An Apple Watch app for running a match is coming with HockiLogic Pro. It will give you the match clock, goals, corners and cards with suspension timers on your wrist, and the result comes back into the app and My Notes. Wear OS will follow.

It needs an iPhone and an Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 10 or later. Heart rate and route features are only available to users aged 16 and over. The watch's match clock is an aid to the umpire and does not replace official match timing.

Pro subscriptions are coming soon. We will let you know in the app when they open.

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address and the profile details you choose to add. Your data is used only to provide the HockiLogic service, and we do not sell it to anyone. Read the full Privacy Policy.

Your account and notes are stored securely on servers in the EU (Ireland). Some features, such as the AI Rules Assistant and voice dictation, may process data outside the UK and EU. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The AI Rules Assistant uses a trusted AI service provider to generate answers, so the questions you type are processed by that provider. Please don't include personal or sensitive information in your questions.
